WORKSHOPS!
As part of the Play Ground project, each of the implementing project partners from 5 EU-states undertakes a series of workshops with children/youngsters. The aim of the workshops is to provide cultural activities for children in vulnerable socio-economic situations and to use these activities as a leverage tool for further social integration and empowerment. Children in vulnerable socio-economic contexts throughout the EU often face increased difficulties to engage in cultural activities. The workshops are tailored to their needs and possibilities and provide spaces of cultural development, social bonding, learning and exchange.
PUBLIC CONFERENCES!
During the 3-year Play Ground project, implementing partners will exchange extensively on their experiences in implementing the workshops in their respective countries. What dilemma’s arose? Which difficulties were encountered? How were they solved? What lessons were learned? These exchanges take place on a regular basis through digital meetings and travel-exchanges but are formalized in 3 bigger public conferences that are organized in Oslo (NO), Ghent (BE) and Saint-Denis (FR). These conferences are organized by the host-country project partners in collaboration with local academic institutions and/or associations. They invite international speakers and a wider general audience that can engage in workshops, panel discussions and often attend cultural showcases .
